HTLAID011 –  Provdie First Aid, Recertification

This recertification program is scenario based. It will involve a patient that requires the the following

• Trail management
• Patient management
• Injury managment
• Handover
• Feedback

Please note the patient will respond accordingly to the actions of the first aider/s. I.E If you do something that promotes the wellbeing of the patient, the patient will reposnd in turn. Alternatively, if nothing is done the patient will get worse. #theymaydie!!

This course palgns to the skill and knwoldge to provide first aid to a casualty inline with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other national peak bodies.

This unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. Specific MTBFA course are design the needs and requiremnts of Mountain Biking and overall general biking activities.

Upon successful completion of this course you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment in:

• HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support and
• HLTAID011 Provide first aid

Industry recognises the CPR component of this qualification as being current for 12 months and the first aid component for 3 years. Recertification should take place at these times
