Where are the courses located?
This depends on where you ride and if permission to use that space is required.
Courses can be undertaken at any place – as long as there is permission to do so.
- If at a bike park, we will need to seek permission of the body who oversees the park to gain permission.
- Currently permission is being sort to undertake at trails located in State-forest locations.
How do I enrol?
- Once you and your group have submitted your interest, selected dates and paid a deposit, each individual will be forwarded emails to register with RTO provider (Wollongong First Aid).
- You will also receive the link to the eLearning module that is to be completed prior to the practical sessions.
What do I bring on the day?
- For our MTB First Aid and CORD Care courses you will need to bring a full-face helmet (if you have one), snacks, sunscreen, water bottle – I will provide some water on the day.
- Bikes are not always necessary. This will depend on how the course will be delivered. If on a trail – then yes. If in one spot at a bike park or set location – then optional ( You may want to ride afterwards).
What happens if I’m sick on the day?
If you are unable to attend, every effort will be made to add you to an upcoming course. Failing that you can receive a refund of money monies paid, minus twenty-dollar admin charge.
How am I assessed?
There are multiple ways in which you will be assessed to complete the course. This includes:
- Online assessment
- Face to face practical assessment
- Explore and discuss relevant experiences and break down the actions that took place, re-enact the incident and undertake an appropriate course of action
How long does a course take?
- A First Aid course will run from 3 hrs (Groms certificate of attendance course) to 4-5hr for the face-to-face components and assessments.
- Certified course participants will be required to complete eLearning modules prior to attending.
What happens if I can’t remember my USI?
If you can’t find via the government website, please email us with your Name, DOB and email and we will do our best to track it down.
As the course is meant to be outdoors, what happens if the weather isn’t great i.e. it’s raining?
- Every effort will be made to re-locate the course to an indoor venue, if you and your group wish to undertake the program that way.
- If that can’t be sourced an alternative date will be offered and will be a priority booking for the group.
Is there anything provided on the day?
- I will provide 1 bottle of water per person, hand santizer, stools for sitting, marquee and all required tools to be assessed with.
- If you are completing the full MTB First Aid certificate course, you will also receive a First Aid textbook, triangle and crepe bandage.

What is your COVID policy?
With the ever-changing situation that comes with this pandemic, we will adjust our delivery methods as per the advice from NSW Health. We don’t want to cancel any courses but rather postpone and look for dates when appropriate.
