Vintage Giorgio Sant’ Angelo Ceramic Aromatherapy Matte Black Grinning Picasso Cat fragrance jar. Created by fashion designer Giorgio di Sant’Angelo. Rough chalk matte black finish, ceramic MCM style grinning cat. Fragrance goes inside the bottom of the vessel & permeates though the porous ceramic. 6” H x 3 1/2” across. Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Still smells of fragrance. Shows wear, scuffs & scratches. Has white speckles throughout.
History: Born: Count Giorgio Imperiale di Sant'Angelo in Florence, 5 May 1933; raised in Argentina; immigrated to the U.S., 1962. Education: Studied architecture in Florence, industrial design in Barcelona, & art at the Sorbonne. Career: Animator, Walt Disney Studios, Hollywood, 1962-63; textile and jewelry designer, 1963-67; designer, Sant'Angelo, New York, from 1966; launched Sant'Angelo Ready-to-Wear, 1966; di Sant'Angelo Inc. established, 1968
