This 5” pair of hand painted monkeys have Japan stamped on bottom of their feet. These estate pieces may date back to the 1920’s-1930’s. They are heavier than today’s Japan ceramics. There are no chips or cracks. See all pictures to see artistic flaws. Each monkey is 5” tall and seems annoyed by the flying insects that have landed on their forehead or nose. Humorous conversation pieces.
