This is the original board game called Tokaido. The objective of the board game Tokaido is for players to have the most enriching and varied journey along the historic East Sea Road in Japan, ultimately earning the most victory points.
Players achieve this by making strategic stops at various locations along the path from Kyoto to Edo to collect different experiences. At the end of the game, the traveler with the highest score wins.
Points are accumulated in several ways throughout the game including Tasting Meals; Collecting Souvenirs; Discovering Panoramas; Relaxing in Hot Springs; Meeting People and Donating to Temples.
